Constitution Party passes Resolution opposing TTIP

By Mark Wachtler

May 13, 2015. Pittsburgh. (ONN) When the Constitution Party met for its National Committee meeting in Pittsburgh, the delegates unanimously voted to enact a Party resolution opposing the multi-national trade deal called the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). TTIP should not be confused with the TPP trade deal. One covers the Atlantic, the other the Pacific. Both are still secret, but rumored to give the world’s multi-national corporations supreme power over national Constitutions.

America’s Dem & GOP leaders support the secret TTIP treaty while opposition Parties are united against it.

Once again, America’s political landscape is being temporarily reshuffled. This time over the TTIP trade deal. As is more and more the case these days, the battle doesn’t pit Democrats versus Republicans, left versus right or progressives versus conservatives. Instead, it pits the people versus the power. Lining up in support of TTIP and TPP are President Obama, Wall Street CEO’s and the leadership of both establishment parties. In opposition are, ironically enough, the same cast of characters that courageously fought against NAFTA and GATT 20 years ago, including every opposition political party in America.

What is TPP and TTIP?

To bring readers up to speed, TTIP and TPP are basically the same trade deals, with TTIP covering Western nations and TPP covering Eastern nations. The fact is, since both are still secret and being withheld from the citizens of Earth, only the attorneys from the world’s largest corporations that wrote them know what the global trade agreements entail. But after the text of the agreements were stolen by our friends at Anonymous and published by WikiLeaks, the average citizens of the countries involved have lined up against the trade deals.

For more information, read the following reports from our sister publication Whiteout Press. And remember, TTIP and TPP are virtually identical:

After reading the text of the leaked trade deal, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange warned the world, “If instituted, the TPP’s IP regime would trample over individual rights and free expression, as well as ride roughshod over the intellectual and creative commons. If you read, write, publish, think, listen, dance, sing or invent; if you farm or consume food; if you’re ill now or might one day be ill, the TPP has you in its crosshairs.”

Constitution Party unanimously enacts Resolution

Having just completed their annual National Committee meeting in Pittsburgh, the Constitution Party announced that one of its accomplishments was unanimously passing a resolution putting the Party on the front line in opposition to TTIP. The declaration concludes:

  • ‘…be it resolved by this body of the Constitution Party assembled this date (April 25, 2015) to strongly oppose the economic and political integration proffered by the Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) since it will push the once independent United States of America into yet another collectivist bloc that will facilitate the complete dissolution of our republic and our several states into no more than impotent members of a one-world government.’

Citing as the reasons for the Constitution Party’s opposition to TTIP, the resolution also includes criticisms such as:

  • ‘the Trans-Atlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) is a largely secret negotiation process’
  • ‘this regional trading partnership aims to establish a comprehensive free trade agreement with the socialist, bailout-prone, nanny-state known as the European Union’
  • ‘is painful to the ears of constitutionalists and those unwilling to surrender US sovereignty to a committee of globalists who are unelected by the American people and unaccountable to them’
  • ‘an internationalist tool for subordinating American law to the globalist bureaucracy at the United Nations’
  • ‘“free trade” is never free with sovereignty being the cost paid by those pushing the United States toward integration with other nations’
  • ‘Congressional support for TTIP would necessarily mean the rejection of the principles of our Declaration of Independence and our US Constitution’

The Constitution Party isn’t alone in its opposition to the two global trade agreements currently being pushed on the American people, and indeed the people of most of the world. Every single opposition political party in America opposes the still-secret TPP and TTIP trade deals.
